Welcome to the Freebooters
The Freebooters are a storied mercenary company that has endured for millennia, defying the odds with a unique code and unyielding spirit. Their unconventional rules and camaraderie set them apart, ensuring their survival through countless trials. If you like adventure, magic, romance, relationships, spells, knights, brigands, and thieves... this is the series for you.
The first book of the series chronicles the famed Twilight Blade Eruch as he joins the Freebooters, and searches for a way to reconcile the past, and find his lost love Varilla. Then the series dives into struggling against the loathsome cult The Noose of Thorns. That story arc pauses, as Freebooter Jael and Genna are forced to go on a years long Odyssey to save their found family.
This is a series with immersive, memorable characters set in the epic fantasy world of Espa. There are elements of romance, battle, magic, skullduggery, and several prominent characters.
Picking up after The Espa Chronicle and continuing the story with Book 11 in the world of Espa: The Witch and The Blade (which is concurrent with Book 10: Valhelm, The Dragon the first book of The Gold Saga.) You don't need to read the Espa Chronicle to enjoy the Freebooters (but it always helps!).
